Sometimes, you just gotta do a little good in the lives of others. In one small town, Saturday was the day that 2600 people laced up their running shoes to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. It was their day to do a little good and offer support to women fighting and surviving the most common cancer women face today.

About 3 weeks before the Sturgis Rally in Sturgis, SD, there will be women roaring their way to Shell, WY for another rally… the Conga – Ride for the Cure. This rally will be a little different than Sturgis. This rally is the vision of one woman… Flo, who I affectionately refer to as “Queen of the Conga”!

Conga Anyone??

Have you ever been to Mexico? American’s flock to the Riviera Maya during the cold northern winter months. We escape the white snow for in search of white sandy beaches. Many prefer an all-inclusive resort where the buffets are long and the liquor is top-shelf.

Even though the conga line originated with slaves brought to Cuba from the Congo region of Africa, the dance is performed nightly at Mexican night clubs. Every dancer in the conga line is awarded with a stream of tequila being poured down their throats. This was my first introduction to the conga line in 1998.

Know what happens when you get a group of 12 dynamic women together and most have never met before? Kind of an intimidating thing… Imagine walking into this meeting and the only thing you really know about these other women is that they each love to ride motorcycle… What would you feel??
